Kinlochard Village Hall was built in 1958 on land gifted by the Joynson family. The original building was upgraded and had 3 extensions added in 2011 giving the hall as seen above. The Hall is owned and run by the community and its official title is Kinlochard Village Hall (SCIO) Scottish Charity No. SC024877. That makes us an incorporated entity run by a Committee elected from the membership, the membership being open to all residents over 16 in the SCIO catchment area. If you would like to join (no charge and no commitment) please complete our membership application form. The community worked very hard with fundraising and made many grant applications, 10 years later they managed to get both the plans and the funding in place and work began in 2010. A visitor who came to our Gala/Highland Games, which was one of our main vehicles for fundraising, can be heard on Radio Scotland in the audio clip below. We hope that small extract gives a feel for our community.
The hall is first and foremost for the community but we are happy to rent it out when it can be fitted round local bookings. If you are interested in making a booking please fill in the on line booking enquiry form.
