Buses
The C61 bus provides a service 4 times a day, going to and from Callander, Thornhill, Aberfoyle and Kinlochard. This started in May 2026 and is a 2 year pilot scheme run by Stirling Council. The Aberfoyle to Kinlochard/Kinlochard to Aberfoyle part of the route needs to be booked by 3pm on the day before travel. People who hold a National Entitlement Card (NEC) can travel free of charge.

Flooding
Although Kinlochard is not usually susceptible to flooding, the B829 from Aberfoyle does occasionally become unusable.

Stirling Council also provides general flooding information as well as live river gauge data which can provide a more useful indication of possible disruption. The gauges named Duchray Water,Loch Ard, Aberfoyle and Aberfoyle Primary and are of most interest.

In general, mobile coverage is very poor after you leave Aberfoyle. There is some coverage provided by "open femto cells" around Kinlochard on the Vodafone network.
